Ahupua'a

About Noah N. and Renon

Hi my name is Noah N. I am eight years old. I live in Ewa Beach and I will be nine years old in August.

Hi, my name is Renon T. I am 9 years old, and I'm also turning 10 this year. I came from Japan, Tokyo.

Here are some things we learned about. We learned about how the old Hawaiians survived. Each person had a job. If they did not work, they could not have anything to eat and they could not survive. Some people had jobs, like harvesting the crops and planting the crops. Others had jobs like building houses and getting food. The common people would get food and other materials for the gods to leave at the altar. In the Hawaiian culture, everyone had to play a role in taking care of the ahupua'a. If they did not want to obey the king, they would get kicked out of the ahupua'a.
