Kumu Naki's Lesson

About Caleb and Grant
Hi this is our blog Caleb and Grant were raised in Hawaii we are both going to fourth grade and we both go to Punahou and we have been friends since Kindergarten.

Today we had assembly on Hawaiian words. In assembly, we learned how to chant 'Oli Aloha and the state song, Hawai`i Pono`i. We also learned the names of the kumu in the other grades for Mauka Makai. E noho malie means to sit relaxed, criss-crossed with hand on your lap. E noho pono means to sit up straight. E ku`i luna means to stand proudly.
