Garden 7-7-14

Gardening by: Kendall, Caetlin and Noah   

Today we went to our garden. At the garden we had to pull out the weeds, it took forever! It was hard to pull out the nut grass. However, if we didn't pull out the nut grass today more nut grass would grow even faster. When we tried to pull out the nut grass the roots kept getting stuck inside the dirt. We found several snail shells and ants in the garden. We didn't have to water the plants when we went to the garden because it rained this morning. Some of us got to use shovels to dig up the weeds and some of us didn't. Using the shovels was much easier then using our hands. The weeds grow really fast because each week the nut grass came right back. Gardening is really fun and we enjoy it. We enjoy it because we get to grow all kinds of plants. Noah's favorite is the lettuce because I like to eat lettuce and I like the way it looks while it grows. Caetlin's favorite plant is also the lettuce because it looks cool when it grows. Kendall's favorite plant is the basil because I planted it.
