Waikiki Aquarium and Beach

On Friday our class went to Waikiki Aquarium. On the walk to the aquarium, we saw the Duke Kahanamoku statue. We learned that Duke loved surfing and wanted to teach everyone else how to surf. When we got to the beach, we got to swim for 20 minutes.

At the aquarium, we saw a little fish tank with lots of cool fish and cool coral too! Then, we put our bags in a small room and went inside. We had to split up into groups and went into different exhibits, so we only had a little bit of time for each exhibit. There were so many cool exhibits and one of them was a shark tank with sharks, big and small! Another favorite exhibit was the one with the Christmas wrasse. It had so many colors, like blue, red, orange, and yellow too! We also saw the jellyfish tank The jelly fish were so big!

We had to go to the aquarium so we could get ideas to help us with our art project, where we had to make a pinch pot of the coral reef.  Some of the reef animals that I researched was the sea horse and the Christmas wrasse, also I also looked at a turtle.
