Pellets Only!
Last week on a rainy day we went to the lily pond to sketch for art and to try to catch fish. The rules were that you could only feed the fish PELLETS! So, it was really hard to catch fish because fish pellets dissolved. Also, fish like bread more than they like fish pellets. Finally Caleb caught a fish with pellets. Caleb was really lucky! We could tell you a million times that it was almost impossible to catch a fish with pellets. The Lily Pond has many types of wonderful fish. Arowanas, Red Devils, Guppies, Catfish, Koi, and this big weird black fish.
A really cool part about the lily pond is that you can catch-and-keep the Red Devils and Guppies because they are over populated in the pond. The koi are bad luck to catch and keep because they die when you keep them. To feed the red devils you must use bread or guppies.
After fishing at the Lily Pond, we went back to the classroom to do a final sketch for art class. In art, we made a watercolor painting of the Lily Pond. It took us a while, but finally we finished and everybody's looked amazing!
